Seen for the first time since undergoing major conservation and cleaning work, a select group of oils and watercolors from the Frye American collection will be shown July 18 - August 31, 1997.

The exhibition of the popular collection includes John Sloan's Blue Kimono (purchased 1965), Mary Cassatt's L' Enfant Nu (purchased 1962), Thomas Eakin's Maybelle (purchased 1968), and Gari Melcher's The Pilots (purchased 1960). The collection is well-represented by "The Eight"-- which includes artists Robert Henri, Arthur B. Davies, George Luks, and Everett Shinn.
