The James A. Michener Art Museum is an independent, non-profit cultural institution dedicated to preserving the art and heritage of the Bucks County region. The Museum, named for Doylestown's most famous son, was accredited by the American Association of Museums (AAM) in 2001. The Doylestown location at 138 South Pine Street, Doylestown, PA includes five permanent and three changing galleries, as well as an outdoor sculpture garden. The Michener is home to a world-class collection of Pennsylvania Impressionist paintings and organizes approximately 15 exhibitions each year.

A satellite location was opened in November 2002 in the historic arts colony of New Hope. Located in Union Square at 500 Union Square (at Bridge Street), New Hope, PA 18938, this 5,000-square foot facility continues the Museum's tradition and is dedicated to the artists among us in every generation. It organizes approximately 4 exhibitions each year.

Please see hours and admission fees on the Museum's website.
