Fresh Visions: Rudy Loupias
December 3, 1998 - January 31, 1999
In 1996 Rudy Loupias was selected to travel with the Brooks Institute of Photography to West Africa and spend over three months creating a photo-documentary about the indigenous people of West Africa. Works from this project are featured in a new exhibition at the Boise Art Museum. Loupias' color photographs, Polaroid transfers, iris prints, and black and white images give viewers a varied glimpse of the beauty and character of the people of West Africa. Fresh Visions exhibitions, a new component of Boise Art Museum's exhibition program, present the work of local emerging artists.
