Online Educational Programming for Museums and Art Centers
Opportunities abound for museums to record and deliver audio recordings for both listening on personal computers and portable MP3 players. Audio capability and usage on the Internet is growing rapidly. A March 23, 2005 report titled Internet & Multimedia 2005: The On-Demand Media Consumer by Bill Rose of Arbitron Inc. and Joe Lenski of Edison Media Research states that "...the Internet radio audience has grown to an estimated 37 million Americans each month." This report will highlight some examples and provide insight into benefits of online audio, production tips and other information.
