Artistry in Glass

For "Artistry in Glass," an exhibition of miniature glass rooms, internationally known glass artist Emily Brock has joined forces with painter Eyvind Earle, known as the father of designed realism.

Brock, famous for her small scale replicas of building interiors, created glass room settings in which to feature Earle's tiny landscape paintings -- his first venture into miniaturism. Phyllis Tucker's exquisite chandeliers are also featured in Artistry in Glass.. Rounding out the exhibit is a charming group of glass conservatories and greenhouses by Linda "Lady Jane" Young, extraordinary museum-quality structures of clear glass with colored glass accents using the Tiffany method of foil and solder. This exhibition opens on November 12, 2000 and will continue until April 11, 2001. For information on the Tee Ridder Miniature Museum, call (516) 484-7841.
